Apexis Engineering is the new name for Bennett Engineering, a company that was founded in 1999 to offer engineering project management and design solutions to manufacturers and OEMs.
The company ownership was changed in full this year and we began our 27th year in business on November 3rd 2025 as Apexis Engineering Limited.
Apexis Engineering is owned and managed by Craig Harbron and Seleena Creedon whose combined experience has enabled the pivot of the business away from purely offering CAD design to a much deeper offering for manufacturers and OEMs.
Service expansion
Today, from our industrial unit in Derby, we offer the following services:
- Design, manufacture, assembly and installation of bespoke machinery
- Design, manufacture and assembly of custom equipment
- Manufacturing broker services
- Assembly services for OEMs
- Value engineering of existing machinery and equipment
- CAD design services
“Being in our industrial unit means we have been able to extend our service offering where it mostly begins with design but not always. Over the years I have been designing I have always been driven to provide the end result to the client so that I can ensure the solution will work effectively once manufactured. With full ownership of the company, outstanding manufacturing partners and the space to assemble we are now in a great position.” says Craig.
New name, same place, same people
The new name for the company has been designed to reflect the professionalism of how the business owners deliver projects. And to eliminate the positioning of being a virtual CAD services business within the industrial marketplace.
The new brand tagline ‘we make it happen’ and ‘we make your mechanical engineering projects happen’ reflects the importance that Craig and Seleena place on providing the very best service to clients for their projects, whatever they may be.
The new branding is simply that; the company number and all other elements remain the same. Craig and Seleena, as full owners and directors of the business are keen to position themselves as engineering partners that are trustworthy, reliable and helpful.
“As I sit and look out of the window at the apex on the factory opposite us I am often reflecting on a conversation we’ve had, a project update meeting, a quotation we’ve provided or some help we’ve given. And I feel proud of the business. So we’re the same people operating at the same place but with a new company name that reflects us better.” says Seleena.
As the business starts it’s 27th year of operation the new year is looking very positive with a number of Capex’s approved for large scale projects on bespoke machinery for a range of manufacturers.
We are Apexis Engineering.
