Scissor lift
Apexis Engineering were bought in for this project as the workplace setting dictated the requirement plus the existing (old) system was failing which caused massive issues for packaging and loading. For this project a scissor lift needed to work with the existing automation system, the position of the equipment used for the process and specific loading requirements.
A critical part of this project was that as product came off the production line it needed accurately rotating and orienting perfectly for the packaging stage with an easy slide off to move to the loading area which was very restrictive.
Apexis Engineering designed this custom scissor lift to fit into the area of use, safely manage the product type plus loads and provided additional features that made the job easier for the operations team. Plus it was designed to be completely reliable which was essential for the operation of orienting the products for packaging without having an breakages or misalignments occur.
The project began with a survey of the site before producing a concept of the scissor lift to meet and exceed the brief which was approved by the client project team. The detailed design and full manufacturing pack with recommended spares was the next stage which enabled us to provide an accurate quote for the manufacture and assembly of the scissor lift.
This is an impressive scissor lift which did the job perfectly for the manufacturer within the space they had, the equipment the lift needed to work with and providing reliability plus accuracy for rotating for the lifting. Whilst this was bespoke lifting equipment needed to be purpose built Apexis Engineering ensured that we utilised as many off the shelf parts as possible for ease of maintenance.
