Our engineering business is a founder member of a group called ‘Executive Networking‘ which holds a weekly meeting in the East Midlands for business owners from multiple sectors.

Who are Apexis Engineering?

Our latest award entry says the following:

We just say “we make it happen” when it comes to mechanical engineering projects.

Who is Craig?

  • The designer AND the mechanic; an unusual combination that works perfectly for our business
  • He sees into the matrix; numbers and patterns are easy for him
  • Systemised, logical and solution oriented
  • 50% owner of the business who makes the projects happen to move from CAD to IRL (in real life)

What do we do?

Design, manufacture, assemble and install bespoke machinery for manufacturing companies in a range of sectors.

Provide assembly services for machinery that others have designed either as one off (or multiples) to supply to their client or as an extension 

Undertake manufacturing brokerage services for OEMs sourcing difficult to find parts (specialist coatings or metal types / lengths).

And what don’t we do?

  • Anything to do with buildings (structural matters)
  • Product design
  • No manufacturing inhouse (it’s all through our partner network)
  • We don’t like the C word (contraptions!)

The where…

We are based at Unit 5 in Derby; as the home of world-renowned innovators such as Rolls-Royce and a long-standing centre of advanced manufacturing, Derby has earned a reputation as one of the UK’s leading engineering cities, making it the ideal base for Apexis Engineering to support manufacturers with innovative, practical, and high-quality engineering solutions.

However we operate nationally as a supplier to companies who might have multiple sites or want to work with us but aren’t based on our doorstep.

When do people need us?

  • When they have complex engineering challenges
  • When they have a need for machinery that’s not ‘off the shelf’

How do we operate?

We’re not sharing this one publicly! But it’s safe to say we have a proven gated process that moves everyone along effectively when we’re offering our concept to completion service for special purpose machinery.

And we can offer so much due to our extensive partner network; who they are and what they offer enables us to provide as much (or as a little) as a client needs for a successful project.
